A Date With The Ambassador
Thanks to Diong of BCCK that I was able to date meet H.E. Ensar Eminovic, Ambassador of Bosnia-Herzegovina in person over a cup of coffee Signature Hot Chocolate at Starbucks, tHe Spring. No.. No.. No.. I did not date with His Excellency alone as there were many bulbs who were there to peek at him. It was a group dating of a few of lucky bloggers with H.E. Ensar aka Ensar as he would love us to address him by his first name ![]()

As Ensar was in town for the Malaysia Day celebration, as well as for the press conference of Malaysia Global Business Forum – Bosnia, the lucky bloggers got the chance to know more about the Forum which will be held from 8th to 11th November 2009 before the press.

Fahriee had a chat with Mr Nordin Abdullah, Managing Director of Glenreagh Sdn Bhd.

Yien & Mr Nordin, who is also the official organiser for The Malaysia Global Business Forum ![]()

Ensar was surrounded by these people ![]()

The naughty bloggers !!

Norman and Cyril asked tons of questions that I never thought of.. Annna, as usual, asked questions about FOOD..

Quote from Anna’s blog:
Bosnia – Herzegovina is located in the Southeast of Europe. Like any country in Europe, Bosnia has 4 seasons (Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer). The currency used is Bosnia Mark. It is approximately 1.95 Mark to Euro.
One of the most popular food in Bosnia is the Bosnian kebab. That explains the humble Satay lover, Ensar who then continued to describe more about Bosnian foodstyle. Bosnian kebab is eaten with sour cream and bread which looks like a naan bread. Bosnian food is very much influenced by the Turkish as they were under the ruling of Turkey for many many years. Young calf and sheep are popular eaten meat, especially those baby sheeps from the mountains. Cooking style is very much grilling and roasting.
Quote from Yien’s blog:
Do u know that 5 PYRAMIDS are discovered in Bosnia, Visocica Hill in 2005??
This is known as Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” (’Bosanska Piramida Sunca’). There are also a four more ancient structures on the site, the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon (’Bosanska Piramida Mjeseca’), Bosnian Pyramid of the Dragon ( ‘Bosanska Piramida Zmaja’), Bosnian Pyramid of the Love (’Bosanska Piramida Ljubavi’) and Temple of the Earth, (’Hram Zemlje’).
and the rest, were the P.A. (Personal Assistants) as they were listening and jotting down the notes
Thanks so much for making this coffee session a more interesting one
The coffee session supposed to be from 8pm till 10pm but somehow, many interesting questions pop out, so, it ended up a bit later than the planned time.. and.. It was getting later to almost midnight before everyone left because Ensar and Nordin started to like cameras

Ok.. Business time. Again.. Quote from Anna’s blog..
To all key leaders and decision makers, if your organisations is planning to go global and into the international business, you should attend the Forum. The Forum is in line with the government to encourage Malaysian companies to go Global.
Bosnia was once a humanitarian country, now a business reliable country.
“Bosnian companies are looking to penetrate into Malaysia and to establish business relations and partnerships. Like Sarawak, Bosnia has strength in the power sector and establishing closer cooperation between Bosnian and Malaysian companies will open up new opportunities that will be mutually beneficial.” – Nordin Abdullah
The President of Bosnia-Herzegovina, H.E. Dr. Haris Silajdzic is attending the forum. We will be seeing the familiar face of our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as he will be delivering the Key Note Address with other respectable speakers from Bosnia including: Amer Bukvic – CEO Bank Bosnia International (aka Europe’s leading Islamic banker); Amer Jeralgic – CEO of Elktrpravada; Sam Osmanagic – discoverer the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids and Bosnia’s Indiana Jones; Tarik Dodic – Secretary General of Foreign Trade Chamber Bosnia; and also Bosnian Cabinet Ministers.
From the list of big names in Bosnian Industry and our very own former PM who has the knowledge of global business practices, you will learn a lot from the Forum. There will be a Closed Door Session with Tun Dr Mahathir BUT that’s by invitation only.
