Horror Singapore Trip

I was kinda excited when I was asked to go to Singapore for some business matter. Purchased my flight ticket hours before the departure. O.o

Looking at the departure hall, no matter how many people, I always hope that there is no one sitting beside me so I can have all the 3 seats. Haha.

and TigerAirways used this new route to fly. Or.. all the planes use the same route to fly ah? O.o

My hope came true. No one besides me. Ha.ha.ha.

Through Agoda’s website, I booked Hotel 81 Bencoolen :)

Is this Kuching?

Errr..

Pink monkey for sale :D

Reached Singapore lu.. Excited. First time ler.. after few attempts of going to Singapore were failed.

Snapped the plane next to ours :D

Pulled my luggage like her while snapping pic :D

So many people O.O Are they Kuchingites or Singaporeans?

Immigrations and CheckPoints Authority.

Kept my camera in pocket.. and suddenly.. someone yelled from far. Didn’t know she was yelling at me =.=” A fat lady grabbed me and yelled NO PICTURE ALLOWED !! .. *stunned*

Her: What pictures you take? All delete all delete.
Me: I was just snapping a pic of my Dad.
Her: No no no.. show me show me..
Me lang lang show her i only took pic of my Dad.. and she asked me to delete. Fine lor.. delete lor.
Her: Some more some more?
Me: No more la. Only one. (so chun my camera dunno why show her black screen after I delete that pic)
Her, in a rude way: Next time no more taking picture ahh !!

Treat me like I’m a terrorist T____T Baru stepped in the Singapore budget airport nia already been treated this way. I hate Singapore T____T I seriously hate Singapore .. So rude lor. If I’m not allowed to take picture, why you never put a sign of no camera allowed ler? :( Hate Singapore.. Hate Singapore !!!!

Took taxi to go to settle some business matters in town.

Papa said this is the famous place. Didn’t bother what he said cos I was still shocked being yelled by the rude fat lady. T__T

Like in Singapore drama series, indeed there are many buildings around :D

Requested for extra bed since there were 3 of us. But this is a bit disappointing lor. :(

Went out to hunt for food after check in.

Zens. Near Hotel 81 Bencoolen.

Beef Noodles Soup

Black Pepper Chicken Rice

All 3 inclusive of one canned drink @ SGD6.90 per set :)

Walked around the area after our late lunch.

It has been quite sometimes since I last used an overhead brigde :D

Snapping the hotel I was staying.

Love Drunk? O.o

Mou liu to the extend stairs always wanna snap pic O.o

..

On my right

On my left

Hooorrrr.. who says Singapore is cleanest country in the world??

In don’t know what shopping mall. Nothing much to see.

Where is this ah?

So many weird designs building.

Cathay. The whole building is cinema ah?

Sota School of the Arts Singapore.

Oh.. I was asking around how can we go to Orchard Road. People were telling us go here, there, here, turn, left, right. We did all they say.. until there was this girl who actually told us Orchard very far from here wor. Are you sure you wanna walk? O.o Why no one tell us it is this far ler?? T_T *Hate Singapore x2*

We then walked back to our hotel.. and I was scratching head dunno who to look for in Singapore. T_T It was Monday and I don’t think anyone that I know will be free during weekdays. Until.. I found Joe in my phonebook. Whatsapp him and he replied saying I was lucky cos he just got back from dun-rmb-where. Haha.

So, Joe was very very nice and kind that I fall in love with him immediately to bring my parents and I for some good food.

He recommended Nakhon Kitchen, serving authentic Thai cuisine.. and we let Joe decide the dishes for our dinner, since my parents and I are not choosy type of people :D

Kailan @ SGD6

Pandan Chicken @ SGD6

Mango Salad @ SGD5

Green Curry Beef @ SGD8

TomYam Seafood @ SGD6

Basil Pork @ SGD6

Ruby @ SGD4

Total damage only SGD53 for 4 people. So cheap right?? (if don’t convert to RM)

There were still so many people queueing to have dinner at Nakhon Kitchen though it was a rainy Monday evening.

Eeee.. Singapore also has Novotel wei .. We should’ve stayed in Novotel instead of Hotel 81 Bencoolen O.o

Joe asked if we wanna cruise here. :D

But.. we all said No cos Kuching Waterfront also have this :D

and why are there so many huge dicks here?? O.O

Ryan & George’s favourite BK !! :D

Simply snapped.

River House.

River :D

end of our journey at Clarke Quay ~.~ The weirdest thing was.. We didn’t drink when we were there :D

When we were on our way to Joe’s car, Papa and Mama saw this..

they didn’t know what it was until the thing suddenly swing to the air and Papa got frighten. :D :D

and don’t say Papa la.. I think I don’t even dare to try this too O.o

GX5 Booth :D

Joe then sent us back to our hotel and we slept like pigs sleeping babies :D .. Nolar.. I missed my bed. Can’t sleep well when I’m travelling.

They do have signs of ‘No Photography’ or something like that in other airport terminals. Just unsure why they didn’t put it up at budget terminal.

Times have changed. Singapore people so rude… Last time, they were very nice, dependent on tourists a lot – now too many people going – sombong already, I guess.

How’s Tiger? Better than Air Asia?

I never like Singapore now – very artificial, pretentious…like some big fairyland or Disneyland…and all about money. The old charm is already gone. The food also, not the same anymore – all modified to cater to tourists…and expensive. Miss the old Singapore – stayed there for a year in the 70′s – that was the Singapore that I loved.

I heard from Mama last time Singapore wasn’t like that too. Singapore was one of my dream country that I always wanted to go, like you said.. just like a fairyland or disneyland to me.. but not anymore after I was yelled from far and in front of many people T_T *glass break sound effect*

Tiger Airlines is good. Love their uniform. Love their friendliness and they are very helpful with people’s luggage compared to AirAsia’s.

Hello Rose! That “famous place” is Marina Bay Sands. :)

BTW, the security regulations since 9/11 have increasingly tightened. You’re not allowed to take photos on the tarmac of the airport or customs and immigration. It’s standard all over the world, and some airports enforce it really strictly.

I personally wouldn’t have deleted the photos, since it’s your dad, they have no right to ask you to delete that, unless the background is customs, airport or other security sensitive places.

…if you really want to take photos of the tarmac or airport, you have to take it from the front (before going in). :)

I didn’t know so much about the security regulations. :( but it’s oklar.. she looked up on me.. thinking i could have done sth to the airport. hahaha.. but ya.. i was afraid to take pics after that :D will not do it again at the airport T_T

    thanks for the advise ♥

The rule of not taking photo of government building applies in many parts of the world and not just immigration. This also applies to some business such as shops, industrial building, offices etc. If unsure, you can ask any security or staffs.
