Ridiculous Jade Pot Tea House

Went to this Jade Pot Tea House at Ban Hock / Jalan Song Thian Cheok here two days ago, which is Sunday for breakfast..
Why ridiculous?
As usual, when I bring my camera with me, of course I’ll snap pictures of the surroundings, food and drink and also the menu. It’s very common, right?
But when I was trying to snap some pics of the menu, the waitress pull away the menu and walked away !!
*Stunned for few seconds*
I looked around and there were no new customers in the cafe. Of course I was unhappy cos even if she wants to take away the menu from me, she should asked right? But she didn’t. Some more I was holding my camera wanted to snap the pictures. Wahraoooo.. si beh rude ahh…
Fine lor.. since taking pictures of the menu is forbidden by them, I just take pictures of the food and drinks we ordered.
Ice Peach Tea @ RM3.00 & Passion Fruit Green Tea @ RM3.00
Lovely Milk Tea @ RM3.50 & Parisberry Flower Tea @ RM4.00
As usual, I ordered Lovely Milk Tea but this time, the tea is a bit too sweet. Even Mum and Sis said so 
Sugar price dropped?
We ordered side dishes too besides the main ones 
Taiwan Sausage @ RM2.50 .. The taste is a little bit too plain. We expect something more flavourful. I think the ones that we got from Kuching Fest tasted better
Century Egg with BeanCurd @ RM2.00 .. The portion is smaller compared to last time but cannot blame them cos everything seems to increase. But taste wise, it’s too salty to eat directly from the small plate.
Our all time favourite, Marinated Cold Seaweed @ RM2.50. We ordered 3 plates of this 
This is good.. a must try if you’re going there
I ordered Pork Chop Noodle @ RM4.50 .. The Pork Chop is a bit too hard to be eaten. But the noodle tasted just nice
Mum, as usual ordered Taiwan Beef Noodle @ RM5.00 .. This time the soup is not as nice as it used to be. The beef also didn’t taste fresh But the noodles, like mine, was good. But the minced meat sauce, which came together with the beef noodles was too salty. It used to be like the canned pork minced with bean curd but now.. @.@
AhSo’s Minced Pork and Vinegar Noodles @ RM4.50
Sista’s Sweet & Sour Pork Rice @ RM5.00
Dennis’s Marinated Pork Noodle @ RM5.00
ahPauL’s Three Sauce Chicken Rice @ RM5.00 .. He was kinda disappointed because he was expecting Chicken Rice with 3 types of sauce. To him.. This is just like soy sauce chicken rice
ahJohn ordered a bowl of Sweet Corn Soup @ RM8.00 for all of us because the noodles and rice were too dry. Only Sista’s Sweet & Sour Pork Rice has soup. The rest were all soupless Sweet Corn soup with not much corn in it .. Can even calculate number of corns in the soup *LOL*
and he also ordered Taiwan Pot Noodle @ RM5.00 .. Somehow, a big eater like him failed to finish that bowl of noodle
JF’s Fried Chicken Breast Noodle @ RM4.50 .. The noodles like the rest were okay but the Chicken Breast a bit flavourless according to him.
Ok.. As we finished our rice and noodles, we slowly eat our side dishes and have some chat among the family members. The waiter and waitress then took away our unfinished side dishes and left .. and we went.. What the heck.. how can they did this when the customers are still eating?? O_O Then Mum said nvm lar.. maybe they don’t have enough plates.. but even if that’s the case, they should ask first before they take anything away from the table ma.. The simpliest respect also don’t have.. Dang pissed !!
The total damage was more than RM90+ that morning. As soon as we settled the bill, we wanted to leave and Dennis accidentally knock on one of the glasses on the table and it broke. @.@ Of course we got some attention since humans are mostly 38 ma.. *LOL* But then hor.. the thing is that, a waitress put a bill on our table. We puzzled cos we just settled our bill.. and guess what !!
They freaking charged us for that broken glass !! Really OMG lor… It’s not like the glass is new.. It has been used by thousands of people.. and.. if you’re in pubs or cafes, even if your broke their NEW AND NICE GLASSES.. they don’t charge you also lor.. what more to say this USED GLASS that they charged us for freaking RM7.00 ..
The food from good to bad and now to worse..
The service from friendly to unfriendly and now RUDE..
If you were to ask me to recommend a place to dine in.. Jade Pot Tea House is definitely out of my list !! I’m sorry to say this.. I can tolerate with not-so-nice food.. but I definitely cannot tolerate with RUDE service.

if you have my ‘skin’ color, you will get that type of people (especially from ahlian & ahbeng) around you all the time..i’m already use to it..
example: can u imagine going in a boutique and the salesperson look at you and ask “lu maok carik apa!?!” in a rude manner…let me translate “Lakia..you dont have money,get the fuck outa here”..or while u’re flipping thru a branded item and they suddently pointed out to you some outdated on 50% discounted items and say “saya ada banyak murah.. sini semua fixed” …very kns..

there is one time i go there.. the exact place where u went.. i m drinking my favourite lovely milk tea oso.. cold one lah.. then my fren and i chat ma… then after a while o.. she come and overlap my cup with my fren’s cup, its like they wanna take away ane lah..
My fren finish hers liao.. but i still got a bit i oso wan to drink ma.. then i jus yelled at her o.. then she so so so so so bei song.. say : aku ingat dah habis bah!”
Walau!!! u shud see the eyes ah.. its like pusing away!!! Then my friend say :”Biadap betul kamu, ingat ingat.. ini bukan gelas kamu, celaka”
HAHAHAHAHA!! Her face super busuk ah i tell u.. then we jus settle the bill and go. no mood to stay oso.
The waitress is the one tie her hair up. A bit chubby and its a L*Kia

Ahh.. too bad I didn’t get the Ramadan baucher, but SD deserved it!! Congrats.
Now, on this cafe.. I think they dun wan business. I tot the food looked nice, but I’m willing to pay extra for better service. Customer always right ma.. hehehe

I agree their service sucks. I was there last week, their service is nothing compare to what you’d receive in Taiwan which they tries to emulate. Foodwise: they look fancy with below average in the taste department. and the service personnel were rude.

I was super unhappy and is still unhappy about the glass being charged to us. So ridiculous lar.. I’m so willing to pay if we broke the new glass but that’s super old glass lor.. Plus the rude service that we got.. and most of the readers got !! I really wonder how they survive now *sigh*and yes.. service really matters to me. If the food is nice and the service is bad.. I’m so not going to be happy with it lor !! It’s time to change.. best advice to them !!

Yes.. I used to like their food so much I’ll suggest to friends to go to this eating place.. but not anymore after I got such lousy services again and again.. I guess I’ll visit that place again if only I hear some good comments from people out there.. else, I’m so not going back there again !!

Not paying for sth that we broke doesn’t mean we act as a robber.Demanding for a payment for sth that doesn’t worth that much is considered as a robber.
I used to love Jade Pot Tea House too.. but I’m sorry to say that it is not our choice of dining place anymore..

And I don’t think it’s really nice to post bad things about others(or restaurants) online.. I haven’t been to this restaurant for a really long time and I really want to go again… Maybe you should give it another chance..

I went back Jade Pot Tea House early this year (giving them another chance). Gave them another chance, but they still disappoint me.. I ordered Spicy Noodles and guess what they gave me? small bowl of normal noodles which has no spicy taste at all. When I confronted the waitress, guess what she told me? You want spicy? I give you chillies la..
=.=” sorry.. unless i’ve no choice, otherwise I won’t step in Jade Pot Tea House again !!!!!

Which one did u go to? But I still love it… Maybe we have different tastes but i will love it no matter what!.. And about the spicy noodles, maybe it wasn’t really spicy because some people can’t take spicy things too much..

I went to JadePot Jalan Song Thian Cheok. I love their food, especially their side dishes but their service is really disappointing. What do they mean by you want spicy, i give you chili la =.=”whatever it is.. i used to go JadePot many times in a week.. but there are many other taiwan style cafe in town. I can always opt of others if they continue to be rude that way
I might give Jalan Keretapi’s JadePot a chance. Maybe they have better customer service there
