It was a last minute decision by the couple – JJ and Shirley, to come over to Kuching and coming to Kuching is the cheapest of all the plans they have for a short break, according to them. Hahaha. So the couple arrived Kuching on Sunday morning few days ago. Sin and I picked them up from the airport and then we met Dys at Chong Choon Cafe for their first breakfast, my 2nd.
After laksa breakfast, we took them to TuneHotels Kuching to check in.
Knowing that there’s nothing much to do in Kuching besides eating, we took them for another round of meal at Song Kheng Hai Hawker Food Centre.
They had their favourite Sea Coconut drink, Sugarcane Coconut Drink and the famous Kompia and SioBee.
Since it was Sunday, we decided to bring the couple to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to see Orang Utan. The first feeding time is at 9am in the morning. Obviously we were too late for that so we decided to give the 2nd feeding time at 3pm a try. Thank you Dys for paying our entrance fees.
After feeling lucky to have seen Ritchie, the famous Orang Utan at Semenggoh, we left the place and sent the couple back to hotel before we met up for our dinner at Topspot – No.25 Bukit Mata Seafood Centre. Ordered many many dishes and the bill came up amounted RM161 to be splitted up to 5 persons. Our treat for the KL-Lings.
and knowing JJ is good at bowling, we’ve decided to drop by Riverside Superbowl which is like very near Topspot for a game of bowling. But since there is a promotion of 3 games for only RM11, of course we didn’t wanna miss the chance. Paid RM3 for the shoes and RM11 for the games, we enjoyed ourselves a lot. It was since don’t know when many of us actually gathered together to have fun.
Day One ended with me dropping the phone on my face cos I was falling asleep while instagramming. Hahaha.. and I slept soundly after that. Kakakaka..
Day 2: I only managed to meet them up for lunch due to some unforeseen works that needed me to do. Thanks to Sin for taking out sometime to bring JJ and Shirley for breakie and coffee session. Lunch was at Thank Food Vegetarian at Petanak. Food and drinks were good. Just that, I’m unhappy with the way they charged us. First it was RM3 per dish of vegetables. Then we ordered another one and they charged us RM8 for the same plate of vege. When asked, they said because the waitress told us the wrong figure so it was okay for that amount. But the thing is, I used to dine in there and ordered the same dish and it only cost me RM3 for the small plate of vege. If I were to dine there again, I will not order their side dishes anymore. =.=” Anyways, I had a good lunch with good companies. Thank you JJ for the treat.
I wanted to bring them to two shopping centres in Kuching but again due to work, I need to be back to office to settle them. I’m sorry they need to tour back to my office when we just reached the Spring’s carpark. Anyhoo, after settling some office thingy, I brought them to see the biggest Jeans in Malaysia. Due to time constraint, we only managed to walk around The Spring and its supermarket Ta Kiong. They bought some chewy local sweets back as souvenirs. Can’t believe I never tasted that. I sent them back to hotel to get ready for gym. Dys pick them up to gym and they attended my first official shadow class.. and it was also their first BodyAttack class. Thank you so much for spending time with us at the gym although you’re on holidays.
and to supper we went after gym. At Twin Stars for its famous delicious porridge. Shirley never tried our Tomato Mee, so we ordered for her.. and she also had the Fish Ball and Fish Meat soup. The satay that we ordered was good but the char kueh was awful to us because he mixed the sweet and salty one together to fry and served us. Like WTF. Isn’t MIX supposed to be half sweet and half salty in a plate meh??!! O.o Anyways, I love the group photo. Hohoho.
End of our Day2 together… and Day 3 also the final day of them in Kuching. Waited for them to check out and off we went to Coffee Talk Kopitiam for breakie. They had Seafood Henghua Noodles. Sin had Kampua. Dys and I bought many kuih muih to be shared with all.
Not knowing where to bring them to, we ended up at Kuching famous Sunny Hills Ice Cream at 10sth in the morning. Ivan managed to wake up around that time and joined us. His first meal – Ice Cream. Siao right?
Since Ivan hasn’t had his breakfast and it’s about time for our lunch, we went to Auntie Corner at Bormill Estate for a farewell meal with KL-Lings. Ordered smoothies, Belachan Fried Beehoon, Zhaochai hungan and also Manichai meesua for them to taste. Kakaka.
and it’s time to say goodbye to the couple. Thank you for coming and thank you for letting us entertain you. We had fun and I hope both of you do too
and it was Papa’s birthday the other day. Papa decided to go Lok Thian Restaurant for dinner. To our horror, their food tasted bad. Salty and Oily. Not many people the other day, but we had to self service when it comes to our drinks.
and lastly, Happy Happy Birthday Papa.. may you stay healthy and happy always. ^.^
